Non Onan Shinan relates the power Indigenous wisdom and the uses of traditional medicine as practiced by the Shipibo-Konibo people of the Peruvian Amazon. A collaboration between the award-winning Shipibo-Konibo artist Chonon Bensho and her husband, the academic researcher, poet, and writer Pedro Favaron, this book examines such subjects as the curative wisdom of traditional medicine, the force of Indigenous language, and the visionary epistemology of dreams.
